Are the four pathways different courses?
No. They share one CEFR-based English curriculum (A1–C2). The pathway sets the focus and examples used in class and helps Admissions place you appropriately.
Do I need to test my level before applying?
No. Our free placement assessment gives a preliminary indication of your level and recommends a study plan. Admissions and your trainer confirm your actual starting level before classes begin.
Can I study English online?
Yes. Classes run from our Nairobi CBD branch and online, in Regular, Intensive, Private or Business English formats.
Does IELTS preparation guarantee a score?
No. Kenya School of Languages does not guarantee IELTS scores, university admission, visas or migration outcomes.
How long does one language level take?
On the Regular Study Plan, about 6 months. On the Intensive Study Plan, about 4 months. Faster Super Intensive (~2 months) and Accelerated (~1 month) options may be available — ask Admissions for current pricing and timetable.
How many learning hours are included in one level?
Every language level includes approximately 120 guided learning hours, covering speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, practical communication and progress assessments.
How much is the Regular Study Plan?
KES 36,000 per level (approximately 6 months), presented as from KES 6,000/month over 6 months, plus a one-time registration fee of KES 1,000.
How much is the Intensive Study Plan?
KES 42,000 per level (approximately 4 months), presented as from KES 10,500/month over 4 months, plus a one-time registration fee of KES 1,000.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Regular and Intensive study plans can be presented as a monthly amount, but the total tuition per level is always shown alongside it — the monthly figure is a payment presentation, not a discount.
Which programme is cheapest?
The Regular Study Plan is the most affordable way to complete a full language level. If you are not ready to commit yet, you can start with the Free Placement Assessment or the low-cost 4-Week English Confidence Starter instead.
